Instructions
Creating Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta is straightforward and enjoyable. Follow these steps:
1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, boil water and add a pinch of salt. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Season the Steak and Shrimp: In a bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning with a little olive oil. Rub the mixture onto the shrimp and steak evenly. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to soak in.
3. Prepare the Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your preference. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest. Once cooled, slice it into strips.
4. Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
5. Make the Sauce: Lower the heat, then pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the Parmesan cheese gradually until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water. Add the cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and steak back into the pan. Toss to combine until everything is coated in the delicious Alfredo sauce.
